Where did we go on that run that now we are like the birds who fly in great flocks with joyful chatter with forgotten cares with time to waste with wings always floating in the wind in whose journey freedom is found
I like how you compared the runners to birds by connecting each group's sense of freedom. This simile really enforces the message you were trying to get across.
I love how this poem relates to you and what you love. I think by writing about running (which is something you love to do:) you were able to bring life into the poem and make the simile really work.
